May We Introduce to You...

I am finally making time to post about the long-anticipated arrival of our son! After 30+ hours of labor in the hospital Asher finally made his grand entrance via C-Section. Some stats on him:

Name: James Asher Jones

Born: February 1, 2011 at 3:38am

Weight: 8lb, 3oz

Length: 20.5 inches

He arrived early in the morning, as one of North Texas' worst winter storms on record was approaching. Ice, snow and sub-freezing temps that would keep everyone off the roads and at home for three days! Good thing we were stuck in the hospital.

We are so in love with this little guy and cannot express how blessed we feel. We're also learning, learning what life is like with Asher. As he's learning what life is like outside the womb. Each day has been new, each night has been different.

There may be a series of postings following this one with additional details about the labor, delivery and first few days but for now we just wanted to share the news of his arrival!
